Installation Notes

Professional installation required. Proper clutch system service is critical:

1. Disconnect battery — Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning work.

2. Remove the transmission — Safely remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle.

3. Remove the old pressure plate — Unbolt and remove the old pressure plate and clutch disc.

4. Inspect the flywheel — Check the flywheel friction surface for wear, scoring, or heat damage.

5. Resurface or replace the flywheel — Refinish the flywheel surface or replace if necessary.

6. Inspect the release bearing — Check and replace the release bearing if worn.

7. Clean thoroughly — Clean the flywheel and pressure plate mounting surfaces.

8. Use a clutch alignment tool — Insert the alignment tool through the disc and pilot bearing to center the disc.

9. Position the new disc and pressure plate — Place the new disc on the flywheel, then install the new pressure plate.

10. Install and torque bolts — Tighten the pressure plate bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to manufacturer specification.

11. Remove the alignment tool — Verify the disc is centered and remove the alignment tool.

12. Install new release bearing — Install a new release bearing in the transmission bell housing.

13. Reinstall the transmission — Reinstall the transmission assembly.

14. Adjust clutch hydraulic system — Bleed and adjust the hydraulic clutch system as required.

15. Reconnect battery — Reconnect the battery.

16. Test operation — Test clutch pedal feel and shifting operation.

17. Road test — Test drive the vehicle to verify smooth clutch engagement and power delivery.
