ISUZU 600P Rear Leaf Spring Assembly - OEM part 2912010-861F
Part Number: 2912010-861F 2912010861 Product Name: Rear Leaf Spring Assembly
Car Model: 600P Engine Model: 600P
Condition: 100% Brand New Size: Standard
Origin: China Mainland Package: Neutral Packing Or Custom
Working Principle

The rear leaf spring is a load-bearing suspension component composed of multiple spring steel leaves stacked and clamped together. It connects the rear axle housing to the vehicle chassis frame, supporting the vehicle's weight while allowing controlled vertical movement over uneven terrain. The assembly features a multi-leaf configuration with main leaf, second leaf, third leaf, and additional overload leaves, all secured by a center bolt and rebound clips. Spring eyes at both ends are fitted with rubber bushings to isolate vibration and ensure smooth articulation.

Failure Symptoms
  • Visible cracks or broken leaves — compromises load-carrying capacity and can cause sudden suspension collapse
  • Sagging rear suspension — vehicle sits lower at the rear than normal, indicating spring fatigue
  • Excessive bouncing or bottoming out — weakened springs fail to absorb road shocks
  • Uneven tire wear on rear axle — misaligned suspension geometry causes irregular wear patterns
  • Clunking or knocking noise from rear suspension — loose or worn components allow spring pack to shift
  • Vehicle pulling to one side — weakened spring causes asymmetric suspension height
Critical Inspection Note: ISUZU service manuals require that when the rear leaf spring assembly is removed or replaced, all U-bolts, spring bushings, and shackle pins must be inspected for wear and replaced if any abnormality is found. U-bolts must always be replaced, never reused. The front U-bolt nut tightening torque is 106 N·m ± 7.8 N·m (78 lb·ft ± 5.8 lb·ft). Always tighten U-bolt nuts in a diagonal sequence and re-torque after the first 100 km of driving.

Important Fitment Notes:
  • This leaf spring is designed for rear axle application only (front axle uses different part number)
  • Confirm spring dimensions, leaf count, and bushing sizes against original component before ordering
  • Always replace U-bolts with new units — never reuse old U-bolts
  • U-bolt nuts must be tightened to 106 N·m ± 7.8 N·m in diagonal sequence
  • For right-hand drive vehicles, verify clearance and mounting orientation

Fitment Verification: To ensure 100% accurate matching, please provide the VIN or chassis number before ordering for ISUZU global EPC system verification.

Installation & Maintenance
IMPORTANT: Suspension system service must be performed by a qualified technician. Always support the vehicle on a hoist and relieve spring tension before removing the leaf spring. Never reuse old U-bolts.
Installation Guidelines
  1. Preparation: Raise vehicle on hoist. Support rear axle independently to relieve spring tension. Remove wheels if necessary.
  2. Removal: Remove U-bolt nuts and washers. Remove spring shackle pins and bushings. Remove spring eye bolts. Carefully lower old leaf spring assembly.
  3. Inspection: Inspect axle housing seat and chassis mounting brackets for wear or damage. Inspect shackle pins and bushings for wear. Clean all mating surfaces.
  4. Installation: Position new leaf spring assembly on axle housing. Install center bolt through spring and axle seat. Install U-bolt clamp and new U-bolts. Install spring eye bolts and shackle pins with new bushings.
  5. Torque Sequence: Tighten front U-bolt nuts to 106 N·m ± 7.8 N·m (78 lb·ft ± 5.8 lb·ft) in diagonal sequence. Tighten spring eye bolts and shackle pins to specification.
  6. Final Check: Verify spring is properly seated and centered on axle. Check U-bolt legs extend evenly beyond nuts.
  7. Re-torque: Re-torque U-bolt nuts after first 100 km of driving, then at every scheduled maintenance interval.
