Product Overview

Glow Plug 8-94140115-0 8941401150 for ISUZU 4JB1 4JA1 NHR 100P 600P — Verified OEM Fit 11V M12×1.25 Diesel Cold Start Heater

This glow plug is a verified direct-fit replacement for ISUZU NHR / 100P / 600P / NKR / NPR / TFR / TFS light trucks and pickups equipped with the 4JB1 / 4JA1 diesel engine. This critical cold-start heating component is responsible for heating the combustion chamber to ensure reliable engine starting in cold conditions.

Working Principle

The glow plug is a pencil-type electric heating element installed in the cylinder head combustion chamber. When activated, it rapidly heats its tip to pre-heat the combustion chamber air, ensuring diesel fuel atomizes and ignites reliably in low temperatures. The ISUZU 4JB1 / 4JA1 glow plug operates at 11V with a double coil design for rapid heat-up and self-regulating temperature control.

Failure Symptoms
  • Hard starting or no-start in cold weather
  • Excessive white smoke after cold start
  • Rough idle after cold start
  • Glow plug indicator light stays on or flashes
  • Increased glow plug resistance (3 ohms or higher)
  • Engine starts but stalls immediately
Critical Inspection Note: ISUZU service manuals require that glow plugs be tested for continuity using a circuit tester. Always replace glow plugs as a complete set of four to ensure balanced pre-heating across all cylinders. Apply anti-seize compound to the glow plug threads before installation to prevent seizure.

Installation Guidelines
IMPORTANT: Glow plug replacement must be performed on a cold engine only. Never attempt to remove glow plugs from a hot cylinder head.
  1. Ensure engine is completely cold. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove glow plug electrical connector and bus bar.
  3. Use 12 mm deep socket to remove old glow plug.
  4. Test new glow plug for continuity and resistance.
  5. Apply high-temperature anti-seize compound to threads.
  6. Tighten to 20 N·m using torque wrench.
  7. Reconnect electrical components and battery.
Maintenance Schedule
  • Every 20,000 km: Test glow plugs for continuity and resistance
  • Every 40,000-50,000 km: Inspect for carbon buildup or tip deformation
  • When cold starting difficulty occurs: Test glow plugs immediately
  • Whenever cylinder head is removed: Inspect and test glow plugs
