Installation Notes

Professional engine builder installation is essential:

1. Remove old liners – Use a proper liner puller tool to extract worn cylinder liners.

2. Clean cylinder bores – Thoroughly clean block liner counterbores and remove all debris and old sealant.

3. Inspect cylinder block – Check for cracks, damage, or excessive wear in liner counterbores.

4. Measure liner protrusion – Ensure correct liner height above block deck per manufacturer specifications.

5. Install new liners – Use proper liner installation tool; press or drive liners evenly into position.

6. Check liner fit – Verify proper interference fit and bore roundness after installation.

7. Final boring/honing – If using semi-finished liners, bore and hone to final size and correct cross-hatch pattern.

8. Always replace piston rings – New liners require new piston rings for proper sealing and break-in.

9. Inspect pistons – Check pistons for wear, scoring, or damage; replace if necessary.

10. Lubricate properly – Apply clean engine oil to cylinder bore and piston rings during assembly.
