Installation Notes

1. Disconnect battery — Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning work.

2. Raise and secure the vehicle — If necessary, safely raise the vehicle for access to the starter.

3. Locate the starter motor — Identify the starter on the engine bell housing (typically on the lower side).

4. Disconnect electrical connections — Remove the main battery cable and solenoid control wire from the starter.

5. Remove mounting bolts — Unbolt the starter motor from the engine bell housing.

6. Remove the old starter — Carefully remove the starter from the vehicle.

7. Inspect the flywheel ring gear — Check for damaged teeth; replace if necessary.

8. Inspect wiring and connections — Check battery cables and connections for corrosion or damage.
