Installation Notes

Professional installation recommended. Proper electrical connection is essential:

1. Disconnect battery — Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning work.

2. Locate the speed sensor — Identify the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission or transfer case.

3. Clean the sensor area — Clean around the sensor to prevent contamination during removal.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector — Carefully unplug the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

5. Remove the old sensor — Unscrew the sensor using the appropriate wrench or socket.

6. Inspect the mounting hole — Check the mounting bore for debris, damage, or metal shavings.

7. Clean the mounting area — Clean the mounting surface and threads thoroughly.
