1. Safely lift and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel
2. Remove the upper mounting nut/bolt
3. Remove the lower mounting bolt
4. Remove the old shock absorber
5. Compare new shock with old - check lengths and mounting types
6. Install new shock: lower mount first, then upper
7. Torque fasteners to manufacturer specification (typically 50-80 Nm for upper, 100-150 Nm for lower)
8. Reinstall wheel
9. Repeat for the other side - replace in pairs
